Description

Ritz Bits Churros are a delightful, bite-sized twist on the classic churro. Crunchy Ritz Bits crackers are coated in a cinnamon-sugar mixture and baked to perfection, offering all the sweet, spiced flavor of churros in a fun, easy-to-make snack. Perfect for a quick treat or a party appetizer, these churros are sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Ritz Bits crackers (any variety)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop. Stir in the vanilla extract (if using).
  4. Place the Ritz Bits crackers in a large bowl. Pour the melted butter over the crackers and toss gently to coat them evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered Ritz Bits and toss again to coat them thoroughly.
  6. Spread the coated Ritz Bits evenly on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to ensure they don’t burn.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the Ritz Bits cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your deliciously crunchy Ritz Bits churros!

Notes

  • For a more intense cinnamon flavor, feel free to add a bit more cinnamon to the sugar mixture.
  • If you prefer a sweeter treat, drizzle a little bit of chocolate or caramel sauce over the baked Ritz Bits.
  • These churros are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • You can also experiment with other flavorings, such as nutmeg or cocoa powder, in place of the cinnamon.
