Description
A smooth and creamy roasted garlic dip with rich, mellow garlic flavor — perfect for veggies, chips, or spreading on bread.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 whole garlic bulb
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the top off the garlic bulb to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 40 minutes until soft and golden.
- Once cooled, squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins into a bowl.
- Mix roasted garlic with cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.
Notes
- Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a tangier, healthier dip.
- Add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne for a spicy kick.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
