Description
Crispy and golden apple fritters made with sweet Honeycrisp apples, a light cinnamon batter, and finished with a drizzle of salted honey glaze. Perfect for fall mornings or cozy desserts.

- 2 large Honeycrisp apples, peeled and diced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Salted honey glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1–2 tsp milk (to thin, if needed)
- Pinch of flaky sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla. Pour into dry ingredients and stir to form a thick batter.
- Fold in the diced apples until evenly coated.
- Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, honey, and milk to make the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm fritters and sprinkle lightly with flaky sea salt. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use a thermometer to maintain consistent oil temperature.
- Fritters are best served fresh, but can be reheated in the oven.
- You can substitute Honeycrisp apples with any crisp, tart variety.
