This Saltine Toffee is the perfect balance of crunchy saltines, rich toffee, melted semisweet chocolate, and crunchy pecans. It’s a sweet and salty treat everyone will love!

- 4 ounces saltine crackers
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, combine butter and sugar. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour the toffee mixture over the crackers and spread it evenly to cover the crackers completely.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-6 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top. Let it sit for 5 minutes to soften the chocolate.
- Once the chocolate has softened, spread it evenly over the toffee using a spatula.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the melted chocolate.
- Allow to cool completely, about 25 minutes. Once cooled, break the toffee into pieces.
Notes
Let the toffee cool completely before breaking it into pieces. You can refrigerate the toffee to speed up the cooling process.
