Ingredients

1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy), casing removed

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/2 cup yellow onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Cook Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Sauté Veggies: In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the onions and garlic until soft. Add Brussels sprouts, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5–7 minutes until slightly browned.

Deglaze: Pour in the chicken broth and cook for another 3–4 minutes, scraping the bottom of the pan.

Combine & Assemble: Return sausage to the pan. Stir in cream and half of the cheeses. Transfer everything to the baking dish.

Top & Bake: Sprinkle the remaining cheeses over the top. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.

Garnish & Serve: Let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
