Description

These Sausage and Egg Breakfast Pizzas are a delicious twist on your traditional breakfast. With a crispy pizza crust topped with savory sausage, scrambled eggs, and melted cheese, this breakfast pizza is both satisfying and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pizza crust (or homemade dough)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the pizza crust package or to 425°F if using homemade dough.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the crumbled breakfast sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, pour in the beaten eggs. Cook, stirring frequently, until scrambled and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. On a baking sheet, place your pizza crust and lightly brush with olive oil.
  5. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the pizza crust, followed by the scrambled eggs.
  6. Sprinkle both shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the top of the sausage and eggs.
  7. Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
  9. Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can swap the breakfast sausage for turkey sausage or a vegetarian sausage for a different flavor.
  • If you prefer a crispy crust, you can pre-bake the pizza dough for 5 minutes before adding the toppings.
  • Feel free to add other toppings such as bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
