Description

Sausage-Cheese Ball Biscuit Cups are a delicious, savory treat combining the goodness of sausage, cheese, and biscuits in a fun, bite-sized cup. They’re great for brunch, a quick breakfast, or as an appetizer at your next gathering. These cheesy, sausage-filled biscuit cups are super easy to make and a guaranteed hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (flaky style works best)

  • 1/2 lb (8 oz) breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional, for extra flavor)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or lightly spray a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick spray.

    2. Prepare the Sausage Mixture:

    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.

    3. Make the Sausage-Cheese Mixture:

    • In a medium bowl, mix the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until well combined.

    4. Prepare the Biscuit Dough:

    • Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Use your hands to flatten each biscuit into a round disc large enough to line the bottom and sides of each muffin cup in the muffin tin.

    5. Assemble the Biscuit Cups:

    • Gently press each biscuit disc into the muffin tin, forming a small cup in each well. Once the biscuits are in place, spoon the sausage and cheese mixture into each biscuit cup, pressing gently to pack the filling in.

    6. Bake:

    • Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden and cooked through, and the filling is bubbly and lightly browned on top.

    7. Serve:

    • Once done, remove the Sausage-Cheese Ball Biscuit Cups from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • For a Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or use spicy sausage for an extra burst of flavor.

  • Variations: You can swap out the cheddar cheese for mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a blend of cheeses.

  • Make Ahead: These cups can be assembled the night before and stored in the fridge, then baked the next morning for a quick breakfast.
