  • These Savory Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Crescent Rolls are a quick and delicious snack or appetizer. Packed with a creamy spinach and cheese filling, they are perfect for parties, gatherings, or a savory treat any time of day. Flaky, golden crescent rolls are stuffed with spinach and melted cheese for a delightful bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 1 ½ cups fresh spinach, chopped

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  2. Prepare the Spinach Filling:

    • In a medium pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

    • Add the chopped spinach to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted. Season with salt, pepper, and dried Italian seasoning.

    • Remove from heat and let the spinach cool for a few minutes.

  3. Make the Cheese Mixture:

    • In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Add the cooked spinach and mix until fully incorporated. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

  4. Assemble the Crescent Rolls:

    • Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and separate into individual triangles.

    • Place a generous spoonful of the spinach and cheese mixture in the center of each triangle.

    • Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the narrow end, forming a crescent shape.

  5. Egg Wash (Optional):

    • If desired, whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush a thin layer over each crescent roll for a golden finish.

  6. Bake:

    • Arrange the stuffed crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet.

    • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.

  7. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. These stuffed crescent rolls are perfect on their own or served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping!

Notes

  • You can substitute the spinach with other leafy greens like kale or arugula for a different flavor.

  • Add some cooked chicken or bacon to the filling for a heartier option.

  • These can be made ahead of time! Simply prepare the rolls and store them in the fridge, then bake when ready to serve.
