Rich and buttery with a burst of garlic, it’s easy to make and elevates any seafood meal. Whether for a special dinner or a casual seafood feast, this sauce will quickly become your go-to!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a spicy kick)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter:

    • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until fully melted.
  2. Cook the garlic:

    • Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic becomes fragrant but is not browned.
  3. Season the sauce:

    • Stir in the lemon juice, chopped parsley (if using), paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), and salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
  4. Serve:

    • Remove from heat and transfer the garlic butter dipping sauce to a small bowl. Serve immediately with your favorite seafood, such as shrimp, crab legs, lobster, or scallops.

Notes

  • For extra richness, you can add a splash of heavy cream to the sauce.
  • This garlic butter dipping sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat it gently on the stove or in the microwave before serving.

  • You can also add a little white wine to the sauce for added depth of flavor.
