Description

Seafood Lovers’ Dream Alfredo is a rich and creamy pasta dish filled with shrimp, scallops, and crab meat, all tossed in a velvety homemade Alfredo sauce. A luxurious dish perfect for seafood enthusiasts.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Seafood:

  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz scallops, cleaned
  • 8 oz lump crab meat (or imitation crab, if preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • Salt, for the pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. Prepare the seafood:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp, scallops, and crab meat with salt and pepper. Add the shrimp and scallops to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until just cooked through. Add the crab meat and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Combine the sauce and pasta:
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Toss the pasta and seafood in the sauce:
Add the cooked pasta and seafood to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat everything evenly. Serve immediately, garnishing with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, you can add a little more butter and cream.
  • If you don’t have crab meat, you can replace it with more shrimp or scallops.
  • You can also add a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten the flavors of the dish.
