Description
Crunchy prawn toast sliders coated in sesame seeds and fried to golden perfection, served on mini buns with fresh toppings for a delicious bite-sized treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz raw prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg white
- 6 slices white bread, crusts removed
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 6 mini slider buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Sriracha mayo (optional)
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine prawns, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and egg white. Pulse until a smooth paste forms.
- Cut each bread slice diagonally to make 2 triangles (12 pieces).
- Spread a generous amount of prawn paste onto one side of each bread triangle.
- Dip the prawn-covered side into sesame seeds, pressing gently to coat.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the prawn toasts, sesame side down, until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for 1–2 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Assemble sliders by placing a lettuce leaf and prawn toast piece inside each mini bun. Add sriracha mayo if desired.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Use fresh prawns for best flavor.
- Can bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes instead of frying for a lighter option.
- Add thin cucumber slices for extra crunch.
