Description
This vibrant Shamrock Swirl Pie is a festive and fun treat for St. Patrick’s Day! With a creamy, dreamy filling and a swirl of green, it’s a showstopper that will steal the spotlight at your next celebration.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 1/4 cup green food coloring (or more for a vibrant green)
- 1 tbsp gelatin (optional, for a firmer texture)
- 1/4 cup warm water (for gelatin, if using)
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream with vanilla and peppermint extracts until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
- Dissolve the gelatin in warm water if you’re using it, then add it to the cream mixture for added firmness (optional).
- Divide the filling into two parts. Add green food coloring to one half and mix until fully incorporated.
- Spoon the white and green mixtures into the graham cracker crust, alternating the colors to create a swirl effect.
- Using a skewer or knife, swirl the colors together to create the marbled look.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until fully set.
- Slice and serve chilled. Garnish with whipped cream or additional sprinkles for extra flair!
Notes
- If you don’t have gelatin, the pie will still set, but the texture may be a little softer.
- You can add a touch of green sprinkles or whipped cream to make it even more festive.
- For a more intense mint flavor, increase the peppermint extract slightly to taste.
