Enjoy these easy-to-make Sheet Pan Philly Cheesesteaks, featuring tender beef, colorful vegetables, and melted Swiss cheese, all cooked on one tray for minimal cleanup. Perfect for a hearty family dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef steak
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 10 oz mushroom slices
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • 2 tsp kosher salt (split between veggies and meat)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese (thinly sliced, like Sargento brand)
  • Cooking spray (olive oil or avocado oil)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the bell peppers and onions into slices.
  • Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
  • Spread the sliced vegetables on the baking sheet. Lightly spray with cooking spray and season with 1 tsp kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Bake the vegetables at 400°F for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • While the veggies are baking, mix the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, dried Italian herbs, the remaining 1 tsp kosher salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and balsamic vinegar.
  • Once the vegetables are done, spread the seasoned beef evenly over the veggies.
  • Raise the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and return the baking sheet to the oven. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and place Swiss cheese slices over the beef. Broil for 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize with other vegetables like zucchini or spinach.
  • Watch the cheese closely while broiling to avoid burning.
