- 1 lb thinly sliced beef steak
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 10 oz mushroom slices
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
- 2 tsp kosher salt (split between veggies and meat)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 4 slices Swiss cheese (thinly sliced, like Sargento brand)
- Cooking spray (olive oil or avocado oil)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the bell peppers and onions into slices.
- Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
- Spread the sliced vegetables on the baking sheet. Lightly spray with cooking spray and season with 1 tsp kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Bake the vegetables at 400°F for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the veggies are baking, mix the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, dried Italian herbs, the remaining 1 tsp kosher salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and balsamic vinegar.
- Once the vegetables are done, spread the seasoned beef evenly over the veggies.
- Raise the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and return the baking sheet to the oven. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and place Swiss cheese slices over the beef. Broil for 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
