Description

Crispy golden fries topped with seasoned smashburger-style beef, melted cheese, and classic burger fixings—all made on one sheet pan. A fun, crave-worthy twist on burgers and fries in one easy meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen crinkle-cut or shoestring fries
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup diced pickles
  • ½ cup diced red onion
  • ¼ cup ketchup (for drizzle)
  • ¼ cup burger sauce or mayo (optional)
  • Chopped lettuce and tomatoes for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread fries on a large baking sheet in a single layer. Bake according to package directions until golden and crispy.
  2. While fries bake, season ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 6–8 small, thin patties.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef patties and smash them flat with a spatula. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until browned and crispy. Set aside.
  4. When fries are ready, remove the pan from the oven. Top evenly with cooked beef (broken into pieces), cheddar and mozzarella cheese, pickles, and diced onion.
  5. Return sheet pan to oven and bake for 5–7 more minutes, until cheese is fully melted.
  6. Drizzle with ketchup and burger sauce. Sprinkle with optional lettuce and tomatoes. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add jalapeños or drizzle with spicy mayo.
  • Substitute ground turkey or plant-based beef if desired.
  • Serve as an appetizer or main dish—it feeds a crowd!
