Description

A fun twist on corn dogs, featuring shrimp coated in creamy Alfredo sauce batter and fried to golden perfection on sticks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Wooden skewers or sticks
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Insert wooden skewers into the shrimp, about 2-3 shrimp per skewer.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, combine egg, milk, and Alfredo sauce until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a thick batter forms.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Dip each shrimp skewer into the batter, coating evenly.
  7. Carefully fry the battered shrimp sticks in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce of your choice.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp, thawed before cooking.
  • Make sure batter is thick enough to stick to shrimp.
  • Try serving with garlic aioli or spicy marinara sauce for dipping.
