Description

  • This Shrimp Salad Sandwich is a light, refreshing, and flavorful meal. Packed with tender shrimp, crunchy vegetables, and a creamy dressing, this sandwich is perfect for a quick lunch, picnic, or casual dinner. Serve on soft bread for a satisfying and delicious bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or parsley)

  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 4 sandwich rolls, brioche buns, or bread of your choice

  • Lettuce leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and fresh dill (or parsley).

  2. Add the finely chopped celery and red onion. Mix everything together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

  3. Toast the sandwich rolls or bread if desired.

  4. Spoon the shrimp salad onto the bottom half of each sandwich roll.

  5. Optionally, add a few fresh lettuce leaves for extra crunch.

  6. Top with the other half of the sandwich roll and serve.

Notes

  • If you prefer a lighter version, substitute the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a creamy but lower-calorie option.

  • You can serve the shrimp salad on crackers or as a salad on a bed of greens if you want a low-carb option.

  • For extra flavor, add a little hot sauce or a pinch of paprika.
