Description

This Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken & Gravy is a comforting and easy-to-make dish that features tender chicken breasts smothered in a rich, creamy gravy. Perfect for busy weeknights, it pairs wonderfully with mashed potatoes or rice.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet chicken gravy mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Slow Cooker: Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker. Season them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Mix the Gravy: In a separate bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken gravy mix, and chicken broth. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour and Cook: Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  • Add the Sour Cream: Once cooked, remove the lid and stir in the sour cream until the gravy is smooth.
  • Shred or Serve Whole: Shred the chicken for a thicker texture, or leave it whole for presentation.
  • Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

  • For a richer flavor, consider using chicken thighs instead of breasts.
