Description

This comforting Slow Cooker Hamburger Hash is a hearty dish featuring ground beef, potatoes, and vegetables, all cooked together in a savory sauce. Perfect for busy days, it’s easy to prepare and satisfies the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 45 medium potatoes, diced (Yukon Gold or Russet work well)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and garlic. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the onions are softened. Drain any excess fat.
  • Layer the Ingredients:
    • In the slow cooker, place a layer of diced potatoes on the bottom.
    • Top with the browned beef mixture.
    • Add the frozen mixed vegetables on top.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Slow Cook: Pour the sauce mixture over the layers in the slow cooker. Stir gently to combine everything. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the potatoes are tender and the flavors meld together.
  • Optional Cheese Topping: In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover until melted.
  • Serve: Spoon the Hamburger Hash onto plates and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy!
