Description
SMores Brownies are the ultimate mash-up of fudgy brownies, graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, and melty chocolate. These gooey, layered dessert bars bring all the nostalgic flavor of a campfire treat into your kitchen — no firepit required!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box: usually oil, egg, water)
- 6–8 graham crackers, broken into squares
- 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions. Stir in vanilla extract if using.
- Layer graham cracker squares on the bottom of the pan to cover the surface.
- Pour brownie batter evenly over the graham cracker base and smooth out with a spatula.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
- Remove pan from oven. Top with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips, then return to oven for 5–7 more minutes, until marshmallows are puffed and lightly golden.
- Cool for at least 15–20 minutes before slicing. For cleaner cuts, chill slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use a kitchen torch or broiler to toast marshmallows more deeply if desired.
- Add crushed graham crackers on top for extra crunch and visual appeal.
- For homemade brownies, use your favorite from-scratch recipe in place of the box mix.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temp for up to 3 days.
