    • 2 cups pasta sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a deep-dish pie plate.
  • Cook Spaghetti: Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, then drain and return to the pot. Stir in the butter until melted.
  • Prepare Crust: In a small bowl, whisk the eggs and Parmesan cheese together. Add to the spaghetti, tossing to coat. Press the spaghetti mixture into the prepared pie plate to form the crust.
  • Make Cheese Layer: In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, parsley, and basil. Spread this mixture evenly over the spaghetti crust.
  • Prepare Meat Sauce: In a skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until browned, then drain any excess fat. Stir in the drained diced tomatoes and pasta sauce. Let simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Assemble Pie: Spoon the meat sauce evenly over the ricotta layer.
  • Bake: Bake the spaghetti pie for 20-25 minutes. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
