Description

A flavorful dish combining tender chicken with spicy Cajun seasoning, sweet honey butter sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Season chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  6. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Stir in honey and cook for another minute to combine flavors.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the honey butter sauce.
  9. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well mixed and heated through.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes to control the heat level.
  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier option.
  • Add steamed vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
