Description

Indulge in this rich and flavorful Spicy Cajun Steak served over creamy Alfredo pasta. The perfectly seared steak is seasoned with zesty Cajun spices, creating a deliciously spicy contrast to the creamy, cheesy pasta. This dish is sure to impress at your next family dinner or special occasion!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

For the Alfredo Pasta:

  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season the Steak: Rub Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper on both sides of the steaks.
  • Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
  • Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta until al dente, then drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • Make Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, add heavy cream and garlic powder over medium heat. Simmer until slightly thickened, then stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Adjust with pasta water as needed for consistency.
  • Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss cooked pasta in the Alfredo sauce until coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve: Slice steak and serve over the creamy Alfredo pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference.
  • For a thicker Alfredo sauce, reduce the amount of pasta water added.
