Description

A spicy and creamy breakfast sandwich featuring fluffy scrambled eggs, sharp cheddar, and tangy cream cheese with a hint of heat, all nestled in toasted bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices bread (your choice)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp milk (optional, for fluffier eggs)
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder or hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp butter or oil for cooking
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños or hot pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread slices until golden and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk, chili powder (or hot sauce), salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Pour in the eggs and scramble gently until just cooked but still moist.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the eggs; let it melt slightly.
  6. Spread cream cheese evenly on one slice of toasted bread.
  7. Top with the scrambled eggs and cheese mixture.
  8. Optional: add sliced jalapeños or sprinkle hot pepper flakes for more spice.
  9. Top with the second slice of bread and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use your favorite bread—sourdough, whole grain, or brioche work great.
  • Adjust the spice level to your preference.
  • For a veggie boost, add fresh spinach or tomato slices.
