- 2 cups leftover cooked brisket, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Grease a pie dish or baking dish.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add chopped jalapeños and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the veggies, stir to combine and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Add chopped brisket and cheese, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
- Transfer the filling into the prepared dish.
- Cover with puff pastry, trim excess, and seal edges. Brush top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- Use leftover brisket or any cooked beef for convenience.
