A quick and flavorful Spicy Tuna Spinach Pasta combining tender tuna, fresh spinach, and a spicy kick for a satisfying and healthy meal that’s ready in under 30 minutes.

- 8 oz pasta (penne, spaghetti, or your choice)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 (5 oz) can tuna in olive oil, drained
- 4 cups fresh spinach leaves
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Juice of half a lemon
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red chili flakes; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the drained tuna to the skillet and break it up gently with a spoon.
- Stir in the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2–3 minutes.
- Add cherry tomatoes if using and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
- Mix in the cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to loosen the sauce.
- Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Adjust chili flakes to your preferred spice level.
- Use canned tuna in water if you want a lighter flavor.
- For extra protein, add cooked shrimp or chicken.
