Description

A delicious and cheesy appetizer that’s perfect for parties or gatherings. This bread ring is filled with creamy spinach and artichoke dip, making it a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 Rhodes frozen rolls
  • 89 oz pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 14 oz artichokes from a jar or can, well drained and chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 11/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp minced garlic (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Melted butter for brushing

Instructions

  • Prepare pans: Generously coat two 9-inch round pans with melted butter or nonstick spray. Position a 6-inch bowl upside down in the center of each pan.
  • Let rolls rise: Arrange ten frozen rolls evenly around each bowl, spritz lightly with cooking spray, and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Drape a towel over both pans, letting them sit in a warm area until the rolls double in size, about 2-3 hours.
  • Prepare spinach and artichokes: Ensure excess water from the spinach is removed and artichokes are well drained. Chop both and set aside.
  • Make the dip: In a large bowl, blend together cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, parmesan, mozzarella cheeses, salt, pepper, garlic, basil, and red pepper flakes until thoroughly mixed. Incorporate chopped spinach and artichokes. Store in the refrigerator while rolls rise.
  • Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fill the rolls: Once rolls have risen, take out the bowl from each pan’s center and spoon half of the prepared mixture into the space.
  • Brush with butter: Brush each roll with melted butter.
  • Bake: Bake in the oven for 25-28 minutes.
  • Serve: Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure to drain the spinach and artichokes well to prevent excess moisture in the dip.
