Spinach Artichoke Pizza is a deliciously creamy and savory twist on traditional pizza. Featuring a rich blend of spinach, artichokes, garlic, and cheese atop a crispy crust, this pizza is perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner or a fun weekend treat. The creamy white sauce and flavorful toppings will leave you craving more!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/2 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. If using store-bought dough, follow the instructions on the package for pre-baking.
  3. In a small pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Stir in the sautéed garlic, spinach, chopped artichokes, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Spread the creamy spinach and artichoke mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  6. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  7. Remove from the oven and drizzle with a little olive oil. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • If you want a crispy crust, pre-bake the pizza dough for 5 minutes before adding the toppings.
  • For an extra cheesy pizza, feel free to add more mozzarella or Parmesan cheese to the topping mixture.
  • This recipe can be customized by adding other toppings like olives, mushrooms, or grilled chicken.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
