Description
These Spooky Spider Deviled Eggs are a fun and festive Halloween appetizer. Creamy deviled eggs are topped with creepy black olive spiders, making them a perfect addition to any Halloween party.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 hard-boiled eggs (halved)
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- Black olives (whole)
Instructions
- Prepare the Eggs:
- Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the yolks and place them in a small bowl.
- Mash the yolks with a fork and stir in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Fill the Eggs:
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the hollowed egg whites.
- Create the Spiders:
- Cut the black olives in half lengthwise. Use one half as the spider’s body and place it on top of the deviled egg.
- Thinly slice the remaining olive halves into 8 small pieces to make the spider legs. Place four legs on each side of the olive “body.”
- Serve:
- Arrange the Spooky Spider Deviled Eggs on a serving platter and enjoy!
Notes
- For a more vivid spider effect, use large black olives. If you don’t like olives, you can use other dark-colored veggies.
- Ensure that the yolk mixture is smooth to avoid lumps when filling the eggs.
