Description

These Spooky Spider Deviled Eggs are a fun and festive Halloween appetizer. Creamy deviled eggs are topped with creepy black olive spiders, making them a perfect addition to any Halloween party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs (halved)
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • Black olives (whole)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Eggs:
    • Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the yolks and place them in a small bowl.
    • Mash the yolks with a fork and stir in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Fill the Eggs:
    • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the hollowed egg whites.
  • Create the Spiders:
    • Cut the black olives in half lengthwise. Use one half as the spider’s body and place it on top of the deviled egg.
    • Thinly slice the remaining olive halves into 8 small pieces to make the spider legs. Place four legs on each side of the olive “body.”
  • Serve:
    • Arrange the Spooky Spider Deviled Eggs on a serving platter and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a more vivid spider effect, use large black olives. If you don’t like olives, you can use other dark-colored veggies.
  • Ensure that the yolk mixture is smooth to avoid lumps when filling the eggs.
