In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Set aside. -
Assemble the trifle:
In a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses, begin layering the ingredients.- Start with a layer of brownie squares at the bottom of the dish.
- Top with a layer of whipped cream.
- Add a sprinkle of green sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, or crushed mint chocolate for extra flavor and texture.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a generous layer of whipped cream on top.
-
Garnish:
Top the whipped cream layer with more green sprinkles, mint leaves, and any additional chocolate shavings or chips. You can also add a few whole brownies on top for decoration. -
Chill and serve:
Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set. Serve chilled.
Notes
- This dessert can be made ahead of time! Make it the night before St. Patrick’s Day to save time on the day of the celebration.
- You can add a little green food coloring to the whipped cream for a more festive touch.
- If you don’t want to use mint chocolate, regular chocolate works just as well.
- For extra flavor, you can add a layer of chocolate ganache between the whipped cream and brownie layers.
