Ingredients
Scale
For the Green Layer:
- 2 cups White Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Green Food Coloring (or as desired)
For the White Layer:
- 2 cups White Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
For Garnish (optional):
- Green Sprinkles or Nonpareils
- Gold Edible Glitter (optional, for extra festive flair)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan:
- Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it. This will make removing the fudge easier after it’s set.
- Make the Green Fudge Layer:
- In a medium saucepan, melt the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Once melted, remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and green food coloring. Add more food coloring as desired until you reach the perfect festive green shade.
- Pour the green fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Place it in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to set slightly before adding the white layer.
- Make the White Fudge Layer:
- In the same saucepan (wipe it clean), melt the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Once the green layer has set slightly, pour the white fudge mixture over the green layer, spreading it evenly to cover the entire surface.
- Chill the Fudge:
- Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2-3 hours, or until fully set and firm to the touch.
- Cut and Garnish:
- Once the fudge has set, lift it out of the baking dish using the parchment paper and cut it into small squares.
- If desired, top the fudge with green sprinkles or gold edible glitter for extra St. Patrick’s Day flair.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Serve the fudge at room temperature or chilled. Enjoy this rich, festive treat with friends and family!
Notes
- For a more intense green color, you can use gel food coloring instead of liquid food coloring.
- You can also add a touch of mint extract to the green fudge for a minty twist.
- Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
