Ingredients
Scale
For the Steak Bites:
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
For the Pasta:
- 8 oz rotini pasta (or your preferred pasta)
- Salt, for boiling the pasta water
Instructions
- Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside. - Cook the steak bites:
While the pasta is cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the steak cubes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika (if using).
Add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer, cooking for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the steak is browned on all sides and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. - Make the garlic Parmesan sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
Add the heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Allow it to cook for 3-4 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. - Combine the pasta, steak, and sauce:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the garlic Parmesan sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.
Add the cooked steak bites and gently toss everything together. If needed, add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce. - Serve:
Serve the steak bites and rotini immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your indulgent and flavorful meal!
Notes
- You can substitute the steak with chicken breast or shrimp for a different protein option.
- For an extra burst of flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with a lighter cream or milk.
