Description

A luxurious dish featuring perfectly seared steak topped with a rich and creamy Cajun shrimp sauce, blending flavors of garlic, cream, and Cajun spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 pound steak (e.g., strip loin, rib eye)
  • Cajun seasoning to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or dry white wine)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with Cajun seasoning and sear until browned on both sides. Remove and let rest.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter, add shrimp, and cook until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in the skillet, then deglaze with chicken broth. Add cream, mustard, and Cajun seasoning, bringing to a boil.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Add lemon juice and parsley. Return shrimp to the skillet and serve over the steak.

Notes

  • For medium-rare steak, cook for about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference.
