For the Steak & Shrimp:
- 8 oz flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Noodles:
- 8 oz noodles (like udon, lo mein, or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, carrots, or broccoli)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak & Shrimp:
- Marinate the steak: In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons soy sauce with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the sliced steak and let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
- Cook the steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak slices and sear them for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the shrimp: In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the shrimp and garlic, and cook for 2-3 minutes, flipping halfway until the shrimp is pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the steak.
- Cook the Noodles:
- Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Make the Sauce & Stir-Fry:
- Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes (if using), and brown sugar. Set aside.
- Stir-fry the vegetables: In the same skillet, add a little more oil if necessary and stir-fry the mixed vegetables for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Combine everything: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and toss everything together until well coated. Add the cooked steak and shrimp back into the skillet, and stir until everything is heated through and combined.
- Serve:
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful Steak & Shrimp Noodles!
