Description
- This Strawberry Cream Cheese is smooth, fruity, and just the right amount of sweet. Made with fresh or frozen strawberries and whipped cream cheese, it’s a quick and easy spread that adds a burst of berry flavor to any breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
-
8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
1/2 cup fresh strawberries (or frozen, thawed and drained)
-
2–3 tablespoons powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
-
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
Pinch of salt
-
Optional: 1–2 tablespoons strawberry jam (for extra sweetness and color)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Strawberries:
Wash and hull the strawberries. Chop them roughly. If using frozen strawberries, thaw and drain them well to avoid excess moisture. -
Blend the Ingredients:
In a food processor or mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped strawberries, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend or beat with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
(For a chunkier texture, pulse lightly or fold in small diced strawberries after blending.) -
Adjust Sweetness:
Taste and add more powdered sugar or a spoonful of strawberry jam if you want a sweeter spread. -
Chill:
Transfer the strawberry cream cheese to a container, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors blend. -
Serve:
Spread on bagels, toast, English muffins, or waffles. It also makes a tasty dip for fruit or pretzels!
Notes
-
For a whipped version, beat the cream cheese with a splash of milk or cream before adding strawberries.
-
You can make it dairy-free by using plant-based cream cheese alternatives.
-
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
