Description

  • This Strawberry Cream Cheese is smooth, fruity, and just the right amount of sweet. Made with fresh or frozen strawberries and whipped cream cheese, it’s a quick and easy spread that adds a burst of berry flavor to any breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries (or frozen, thawed and drained)

  • 23 tablespoons powdered sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: 1–2 tablespoons strawberry jam (for extra sweetness and color)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries:
Wash and hull the strawberries. Chop them roughly. If using frozen strawberries, thaw and drain them well to avoid excess moisture.

  2. Blend the Ingredients:
In a food processor or mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped strawberries, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend or beat with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
(For a chunkier texture, pulse lightly or fold in small diced strawberries after blending.)

  3. Adjust Sweetness:
Taste and add more powdered sugar or a spoonful of strawberry jam if you want a sweeter spread.

  4. Chill:
Transfer the strawberry cream cheese to a container, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors blend.

  5. Serve:
Spread on bagels, toast, English muffins, or waffles. It also makes a tasty dip for fruit or pretzels!

Notes

  • For a whipped version, beat the cream cheese with a splash of milk or cream before adding strawberries.

  • You can make it dairy-free by using plant-based cream cheese alternatives.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
