Description

This refreshing Strawberry Slushy is the perfect way to beat the heat on a hot day! Made with fresh strawberries, ice, and a splash of lemon juice, it’s a sweet and tangy frozen treat that’s easy to make and full of vibrant strawberry flavor. Ideal for a summer party or a cool afternoon snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and halved)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup water or lemon juice (for extra tang)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (optional, depending on sweetness of the strawberries)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries:
Wash and hull the strawberries. Cut them in half and place them in a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend the Slushy:
Add the ice cubes, water (or lemon juice), and honey or sugar to the blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and icy, with a slushy texture. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender a couple of times to ensure everything is well blended.
  3. Taste and Adjust:
Taste the slushy and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey or sugar. If you prefer a more tangy flavor, you can add a bit more lemon juice.
  4. Serve:
Pour the strawberry slushy into glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and extra freshness if desired.
  5. Enjoy:
Serve immediately and enjoy your cool, refreshing strawberry slushy!

Notes

  • For a creamier slushy, you can add a splash of coconut milk or yogurt to the blender.
  • You can make this slushy with frozen strawberries if fresh ones are not available.
  • If you want to make it a boozy slushy, you can add a splash of rum or vodka to the blender.
