Description
A bite-sized treat combining the flavors of a classic sugar cookie with creamy white chocolate coating. These sugar cookie truffles are perfect for holiday gifting or any sweet occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups sugar cookie crumbs (from about 8–10 baked sugar cookies, crumbled)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips (for coating)
- Sprinkles or colored sugar (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Make the Truffle Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the sugar cookie crumbs, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined and smooth. You can use a hand mixer or your hands for better consistency. - Form the Truffles:
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set. - Prepare the Coating:
While the truffles are chilling, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. - Coat the Truffles:
Once the truffles are firm, dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, using a fork or toothpick to fully coat them. Let any excess chocolate drip off. Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment paper. - Garnish & Set:
If desired, sprinkle the truffles with sprinkles or colored sugar while the white chocolate is still soft. Let the truffles set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, or until the chocolate coating hardens. - Serve & Enjoy:
Once the truffles have set, they are ready to serve! Enjoy these sweet, creamy treats with a delicious sugar cookie flavor.
Notes
- Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- You can also use milk or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate for a different flavor.
- Make sure to chill the truffles long enough to avoid the mixture being too soft when coating.
