Description

These Super Bouncy Balls are a fun and easy DIY project that both kids and adults can enjoy. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create bouncy balls that are perfect for play and imagination. Get ready to make your own bouncy wonders!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup white school glue
  • 1 tablespoon borax powder
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ¼ teaspoon food coloring (optional)
  • ¼ cup cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Borax Solution: In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of borax powder with ¼ cup warm water. Stir until the borax completely dissolves.
  2. Mix Glue and Cornstarch: In a separate bowl, combine the white school glue, cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add Color (Optional): If you’d like your bouncy ball to have color, add a few drops of food coloring to the glue mixture and stir well.
  4. Combine the Mixtures: Gradually add the borax solution to the glue mixture while stirring continuously. The mixture will begin to form a ball-like texture. Keep stirring until it firms up and becomes solid.
  5. Knead the Ball: Once the mixture starts to take shape, remove it from the bowl and knead it with your hands for about 2-3 minutes. If the mixture feels too sticky, sprinkle a little more cornstarch and knead until smooth.
  6. Shape the Ball: Roll the mixture into a smooth, round ball, ensuring it’s evenly shaped.
  7. Let It Dry: Allow the bouncy ball to dry for a few hours, and then it will be ready to bounce!

Notes

  • This recipe makes one bouncy ball, but you can easily double or triple it for more fun.
  • Be sure to knead the mixture well for the best bouncy results.
  • Store the ball in an airtight container to keep it from drying out too quickly.
