Description
These baked tiramisu donuts are light, moist, and infused with espresso flavor, then topped with a rich mascarpone glaze and a dusting of cocoa powder. A coffee lover’s dream in donut form!

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1/4 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Mascarpone Glaze:
- 4 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk together sugars, yogurt, coffee, oil, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze: Whisk mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and creamy.
- Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze and dust with cocoa powder.
- Chill slightly to set the glaze, if desired, then serve.
Notes
- Use cooled espresso to avoid curdling the batter.
- Donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For stronger coffee flavor, brush cooled donuts with more espresso before glazing.
