Description

  • These Sweet and Spicy Pepper Jelly Deviled Eggs are a flavorful twist on the classic deviled egg. The creamy filling is paired with a zesty kick from pepper jelly and a touch of heat, making them a perfect appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon sweet pepper jelly (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for garnish)

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

  • Additional pepper jelly for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.

  2. Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, sweet pepper jelly, salt, and black pepper. Mix until the filling is creamy and well-combined.

  3. Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg whites. If you prefer a more decorative presentation, you can use a piping bag fitted with a star tip.

  4. Optional: Drizzle additional pepper jelly over the top of the deviled eggs for extra sweetness and spice.

  5. Garnish with smoked paprika and chopped green onions, if desired.

  6. Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

Notes

  • You can adjust the level of heat by adding more or less pepper jelly based on your preference.

  • For extra crunch, consider adding a small amount of finely chopped jalapeños or bell peppers to the filling.

  • These deviled eggs can be made a day ahead for easier prep before a party.
