Description

Tender chicken pieces coated in a sticky, sweet chili sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner served with rice or noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Optional garnish: sliced green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat evenly. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until sauce thickens and glazes the chicken.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for juicier results or breast for leaner meat.
  • Add chili flakes for extra heat.
  • Can be prepared ahead and reheated gently.
