- 1 black tea bag (or 1 tablespoon loose leaf black tea)
- 1 cinnamon stick (or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon)
- 1 tablespoon honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based, such as almond or oat milk)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add the cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon and the tea bag or loose leaf tea.
- Let the tea steep for about 4-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- Remove the tea bag or strain the loose leaves, then stir in the honey or sweetener of choice.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract, and stir well to combine. Heat gently over low heat until the tea is warm and creamy.
- Pour into a mug, remove the cinnamon stick if using, and serve warm. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- If you prefer a stronger cinnamon flavor, you can increase the amount of cinnamon or add a pinch of ground cinnamon directly to the milk.
- This tea is also delicious served iced! Let it cool and pour over ice for a refreshing twist.
