Description
This refreshing Sweet Peach Iced Tea is the perfect drink for hot days. With the sweetness of ripe peaches and the boldness of black tea, it’s the ultimate summer beverage. Serve it chilled with ice for a deliciously sweet, fruity twist on traditional iced tea.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups water
- 4 black tea bags (or your preferred tea)
- 2 medium ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
- While the tea is steeping, place the sliced peaches in a blender and blend until smooth.
- After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and add the peach puree and sugar to the tea. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled (about 1-2 hours).
- Before serving, add lemon juice if desired and stir to combine.
- Serve over ice cubes, and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
- For a less sweet version, reduce the amount of sugar or use honey or another sweetener of choice.
- You can use peach nectar or peach syrup if fresh peaches are unavailable.
- If you prefer a stronger peach flavor, blend extra peaches and add more to the tea.
