Description

These Sweet & Spicy Ramen Noodles are packed with bold flavors! The perfect balance of heat and sweetness, this quick and easy dish is a flavorful meal or snack that can be ready in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packet)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (adjust for spice level)
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
  • 12 tbsp water (to adjust sauce consistency)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

  • Crushed peanuts, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, typically by boiling in water for 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water for the sauce if needed.

  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Add 1-2 tablespoons of water to thin out the sauce if desired.

  3. Sauté the Sauce: In a pan, heat a little sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. Combine Noodles and Sauce: Add the cooked ramen noodles to the pan and pour the sauce over them. Toss the noodles in the sauce to coat them evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved noodle water to loosen it up.

  5. Serve: Once the noodles are coated and heated through, transfer to serving bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds, chopped green onions, or crushed peanuts if desired.

Notes

  • For extra protein, add cooked chicken, tofu, or an egg on top.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha based on your desired spice level.

  • You can also add vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or spinach for extra crunch and nutrients.
