- 10 full-size graham crackers
- 1 cup salted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3 chocolate bars, broken into pieces
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a 9×13-inch pan lined with parchment paper, place the graham crackers in a single layer along the bottom, breaking them as needed to fully cover the pan.
- In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the butter and brown sugar. Stir constantly until the butter is melted and the mixture begins to boil. Let it boil for 3-4 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
- Pour the caramel mixture evenly over the graham crackers. Bake in the preheated oven for 6-8 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the oven, then sprinkle the broken chocolate bar pieces evenly over the crackers, followed by the mini marshmallows.
- Turn the oven to broil, then place the pan back into the oven. Broil for 1-2 minutes, or until the marshmallows become golden brown. Watch closely to avoid burning.
- Allow the bars to cool and harden slightly before cutting into pieces and serving.
Notes
- If you prefer a thicker caramel layer, you can increase the amount of butter and sugar to 1.5 cups each.
- For an added twist, try using different types of chocolate, such as milk chocolate or dark chocolate.
