Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup hot cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the pan)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter or line with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
- Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in the milk chocolate chips and hot cocoa powder until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Top the chocolate layer with mini marshmallows, evenly spreading them over the surface.
- Return the bars to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the marshmallows are golden and toasted.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature before slicing into bars.
- Serve and enjoy your delicious, gooey toasted marshmallow hot chocolate bars!
Notes
- For extra chocolate flavor, drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the marshmallows before baking.
- If you prefer your marshmallows extra toasted, place them under the broiler for 1-2 minutes after baking.
- These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
