Description

This Tremendous Cheesy Pepperoni Stromboli is the perfect blend of golden, crispy pizza dough filled with gooey mozzarella, savory pepperoni, and a sprinkle of Parmesan. It’s an irresistible hand-held treat that’s perfect for any occasion—whether it’s game day, a casual dinner, or a party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade), rolled into a rectangle
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Dough
Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface, aiming for about 1/4-inch thickness.
  • Add Cheese and Toppings
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Layer pepperoni slices over the cheese. Sprinkle grated Parmesan and Italian seasoning over the pepperoni.
  • Roll the Dough
Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, like a jelly roll. Tuck in the ends to seal the stromboli.
  • Prepare for Baking
Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top of the dough with the beaten egg for a golden finish. Cut a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
  • Cool and Serve
Let the stromboli cool for a few minutes, then slice. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can make the stromboli ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to bake.
  • Feel free to customize the filling—use sausage, vegetables, or additional cheeses for different variations.
  • For a vegetarian version, simply omit the pepperoni and add more vegetables or extra cheese.
  • This recipe is perfect for using store-bought pizza dough or homemade dough.
