Description
A flavorful Turkish-inspired chicken dish marinated in warm spices and grilled or pan-seared, then served with a rich and tangy yogurt-based white sauce.

- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Creamy White Sauce:
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, olive oil, garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili flakes, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
- Add chicken to the marinade, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best flavor).
- Meanwhile, mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and chill until ready to serve.
- Grill or pan-sear the marinated chicken over medium heat for 6–7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice.
- Serve over rice, flatbread, or salad, and drizzle generously with the creamy white sauce.
Notes
- Use chicken thighs for juicier results.
- Add chopped cucumbers and tomatoes for a refreshing side.
- Great in wraps or over bulgur wheat too.
