This Ultimate Ermine Frosting was once charged at $300 by the Waldorf Astoria, but now you can make this luxe, silky smooth frosting at home for FREE! Perfect for decorating cakes and cupcakes with a touch of elegance, this frosting takes just 25 minutes to prepare. The rich and creamy texture, with a hint of vanilla, will elevate any dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 5 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whisk milk and flour in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until thickened like pudding. Let cool.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the cooled milk mixture to the butter and beat until smooth.
  4. Add vanilla extract and whip for 7-8 minutes until light and fluffy.

Notes
