Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups White Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/4 cup Red Candy Melts or Red Food Coloring (for swirls)
- 1/4 cup Pink Candy Melts or Pink Food Coloring (for swirls)
- Heart-shaped sprinkles or edible glitter (optional for decoration)
Instructions
- Prepare the Molds:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. If you have heart-shaped candy molds, lightly grease them or line them with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Melt the White Chocolate:
- In a heatproof bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and heavy cream.
- Melt the mixture in the microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
- Color the Chocolate:
- Divide the melted white chocolate into two smaller bowls.
- In one bowl, add the red candy melts or a few drops of red food coloring and stir until you achieve a vibrant red color.
- In the other bowl, add the pink candy melts or a few drops of pink food coloring and stir until you get a soft pink color.
- Fill the Molds:
- Spoon the white chocolate mixture into the prepared heart molds, filling them about halfway.
- Then, drop spoonfuls of the red and pink-colored chocolate onto the white chocolate in the molds, creating a swirled effect.
- Create the Swirl Effect:
- Use a toothpick or a skewer to gently swirl the red and pink chocolate into the white chocolate, creating a marbled or swirled look.
- Chill the Candies:
- Once the molds are filled and swirled, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for about 30 minutes, or until the candies are completely set.
- Remove and Decorate (Optional):
- Once the candies have set, carefully pop them out of the molds.
- If desired, decorate the candies with heart-shaped sprinkles or a sprinkle of edible glitter for an extra touch of Valentine’s flair.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Store the swirled white chocolate candies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate them for longer shelf life.
Notes
- You can also use other colors of candy melts for different holidays or celebrations.
- If you don’t have candy molds, you can spread the melted chocolate mixture on the baking sheet and swirl the colors together. Once set, break into pieces for a more rustic candy look.
- To make the candies extra special, consider adding small decorations or fillings like crushed nuts, dried fruit, or mini marshmallows before setting the chocolate.
