Description

This Veggie Cream Cheese is a creamy, savory spread packed with fresh vegetables. Perfect for bagels, crackers, sandwiches, or as a dip for veggies, this easy-to-make spread is full of flavor and a great way to add some crunch to your meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional for added tang)
  • ½ cup finely chopped celery
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • ¼ cup finely chopped green onions (scallions)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for extra freshness)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream (if using). Stir until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the chopped celery, red bell pepper, green onions, and parsley. Mix well until all vegetables are evenly distributed throughout the cream cheese.
  3. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice (if using). Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Transfer the veggie cream cheese to a serving dish or container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve with bagels, crackers, as a sandwich spread, or as a dip with fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • You can use different vegetables like shredded carrots, cucumbers, or chopped spinach for variation.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or finely chopped jalapeños.
  • This spread can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
